Finding it hard to pick some summer skincare? With so many different options on the shelves these days, it can be so hard to decide. I’ve done the heavy lifting for you to help kickstart your summer beauty routine.
1. Cleanser: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Cleanser Water Gel
The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Cleanser Water Gel is a lightweight gel that transforms into a silky lather when you massage it into damp skin. It removes makeup, dirt, oil and SPF. Containing Hyaluronic Acid, it helps to boost hydration levels and lock in moisture. I love this product because I know I can get my skin squeaky clean, without drying it out or leaving it feeling tight or stripped.
2. Serum: essano Advanced Brightening Vitamin C Concentrated Serum
Vitamin C is such a beneficial ingredient to have in your routine as it helps to control the formation of pigmentation and help reduce the visible signs of sun damage. It is a great partner to keep your skin looking bright and fresh all summer long. I love the essano Serum because it contains a high dosage of Vitamin C but it is a low-irritation formula. It is also lightweight and feels beautiful on the skin too.
3. Moisturiser: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel
Your skin needs that extra boost of hydration even more in summer. My moisturiser pick is the Neutrogena Hydro Boost because it is a lightweight gel formula that almost feels like nothing on the skin. It also contains Hyaluronic Acid and Prebiotics to help give long lasting hydration.
4. SPF: Bondi Sands Hydra UV Protect SPF 50+ Face Fluid
SPF is the most important skincare product you can have in your routine all year round, but it’s even more important in summer. I am loving the Bondi Sands SPF because it doesn’t feel like an SPF. It’s a lightweight sunscreen, almost like a serum or lightweight moisturiser, that soaks into the skin, leaving an invisible, non-greasy finish, while still providing protection from UVA and UVB.
5. Lip Balm: Bondi Sands Lip Balm with SPF 50+
I know I’ve spent many summers with sore, cracked lips because I didn’t take care of them. Your lips can get sunburnt too, but it’s so easy to protect them. The Bondi Sands lip balm is super hydrating, but also contains SPF50+. It’s soothing on dry lips, but protects from the sun as an extra bonus.
A bonus extra: La Roche Posay Cicaplast B5 Mask
This mask is the perfect all rounder. It contains Vitamin B5 which is great for soothing and calming the skin, while giving a moisture boost. It’s a sheet mask, so it’s as easy as unfolding and applying, leaving for 15 minutes and then removing. For a refreshing treat, pop it in the fridge for 10 minutes before you put it on.
You can find all of these products at Chemist Warehouse and Priceline.
