1. Funland Canberra

Located in Mitchell, Gungahlin, Funland Canberra is one of the most exciting indoor play centres in the ACT. Fitted with equipment suitable for kids of all age groups, this indoor play space will keep your kids entertained for hours.

Parents can relax in the cafe as the kids play. The cafe features a wide range of tasty beverages and food including a healthy options range.

Funland Canberra is open every day of the week from 09.30 to 17:00, and a pass lets you play for as long as you like for the day. The facility is open to bookings for birthdays or functions with options like party themes, exclusive equipment hire, birthday party packages, and adult platters.

 

2. Let's Play

Located in Nichols, Gungahlin, Let's Play offers a wide range of safe, fun equipment for kids of all ages. This indoor play centre also has an experiential space, Space Odyssey, and the area can be transformed to accommodate laser tag games, which are great for kids’ birthday parties.

Let's Play offers a fantastic venue for birthday parties and special events. The facility has several themed party rooms including Ocean Wonderworld, Pirates Of Play, Fairy Fantasy, Jungle Adventure, and Dino Land. You can pick different party packages for the kids and also keep the adults at the party happy with adult platters. Let's Party is open from 10.00 to 18.00 every day of the week except for Tuesdays.

 

3. KidCity

KidCity is situated in Mitchell and bills itself as the largest and most exciting indoor play centre in Canberra. Complete with a huge cafe, adult lounge, and party centre, KidCity is designed for kids of all ages up to 12 and offers parents and carers a relaxing experience as the kids play. Equipment options include dedicated crawler, toddler, and junior areas along with a giant three lane slide, jumping castle, and junior track.

The KidCity Cafe features a full commercial kitchen and is located at the centre of the play equipment, allowing parents to keep a watchful eye on the kids as they play. The cafe offers healthy kids packs as well as delicious savoury and sweet items for adults.

The centre offers themed party rooms, from Fairy Tale and Zoo to Space and Disco Party, for your special occasions, and you can choose different party packages and adult platters. KidCity is open from 09.30 to 14.30 Monday to Friday, and 09.30 to 17.00 during the school term. During school holidays, the centre is open 09.30 to 17.00 every day of the week.

 

4. Flip Out

Take the kids out for an afternoon of indoor trampolining fun at Flip Out. Located in Mitchell (the other location is in Hume), Flip Out offers large foam pits great for the bigger kids and a special kids arena for the little ones.

Flip Out also hosts birthday parties and special events. Packages include flip time, food, beverages, cake, grip socks for every kid, party stations, and email invitations.

Flip Out is open 09.00 to 19.00 from Sunday to Thursday and 09.00 to 20.00 Friday and Saturday. You can buy one-hour or two-hour tickets, or sign your kids up for a Little Ninjas training session for some lessons on how to trampoline.

 

5. Canberra Indoor Rock Climbing

Located in Mitchell (with a second location in Hume), Canberra Indoor Rock Climbing has fantastic facilities to help kids learn rock climbing. The centre has easy, moderate and hard-level walls, so your kids can get some exercise and have fun trying something new. You can try top rope climbing, bouldering and lead climbing, and other group and training activities.

Wall heights range from 7.5 to 8.5 metres, and the site has 25 ropes to support climbers. It also features a bouldering cave with different angle and features. Amenities at the centre include a fridge, freezer, microwave, pie warmer, BBQ, free tea and coffee, a kids' playroom, tables and chairs, a snack bar, and a party area.

Opening hours vary from day to day, so make sure you check the timetable before planning your day.
