At Gungahlin Medical Practice, their aim is to provide you with exceptional care, on time. A small practice in a very convenient location, there are three general practitioners and a practice nurse servicing the needs of the Gungahlin and surrounding areas.

New patients are welcome with appointments; however walk-ins are also welcome. The practice is fully accredited, complying to Australia’s standards.

Bulk billing is available at all times for children up to 16 years old, 65 and older with pensioner’s card and healthcare cardholders. For other age groups bulk billing is Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5.00pm. Home visits are available for regular patients who cannot attend the surgery due to their medical condition. 

Services provided include: general medical check ups, travel advice and vaccinations, childhood immunisations, skin cancer check ups, minor surgical procedures, women’s health care, men’s health care, care for the elderly, paediatrics, employment and insurance medicals, and workers compensation. 

Prescriptions: For repeat prescriptions & referrals, please make an appointment to see your regular doctor.

Results: It is recommended that patients return for a follow up consultation to discuss the results of all tests. However an exception is made for Pap smear results. Notification of all pap smears, childhood immunisations and some adult vaccinations will be provided to the relevant national registry

All patients are automatically enrolled in the practice’s internal recall and reminder system for regular health checks such as diabetic reviews. Please let your doctor know if you do not want this to occur.
